The Quito skyscraper concept is a vertical ecosystem enclosed in a transparent arched shell.
A tower with a central core and radial plan grows stepped, planted terraces that spiral upward, creating their own microclimate. White balconies and green belts shape a dynamic silhouette reminiscent of the terraced slopes of the Andes. The translucent outer shell works as a climatic dome, sheltering the interiors from wind and temperature swings.
The project inherits the ideas of energy-efficient architecture — like the rotating Heliotrop house, the building follows the sun, with solar panels as its power source. The engineered arch-shell acts as a light filter and a protective contour. Private spaces open to the panoramas of Quito, green buffers soften the density. The contrast of the high-tech glass structure and the natural texture of planted facades joins high-rise urbanism with the landscape — a self-sufficient vertical environment.
